From a familiar braised flavour to family tables across generations
OUR STORY
Over thirty years of braising
It started with one pot at Shiquan Night Market, Kaohsiung
In 1993, Delicious Chinese Food began at a small stall in Shiquan Night Market, Kaohsiung.
Lin Tsung-lung and Chen Hsiu-ching tended that one pot together — choosing ingredients, seasoning, simmering and greeting every customer by hand.
There were no grand slogans back then. They simply wanted to get a familiar flavour right, so that everyone who stopped by took home something honest and good.
It began with one stall and one pot of braised delicacies,
and what we set out to make has always been a Taiwanese taste you can trust.
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Two people, one stall
One pot of braised aroma — how it all started
In the early days the couple brought their young children along, working and learning in the night market at the same time.
How to pick ingredients, how to control the heat, what kind of flavour brings people back — every night at the stall added another layer of experience.
People came and went; the braising broth kept simmering. Through those encounters, Delicious Chinese Food slowly found its own direction.
Not the fastest route, but a willingness to get every step right; not just to sell a product, but to be remembered for a familiar taste.
Where there is heart, there is strength.
With the will to learn and to persist, even the smallest start can find its own way.
FROM THE NIGHT MARKET
From the night market, taking Taiwanese flavour further
The stall grew — the care behind the flavour did not change
From a braising stall in Shiquan Night Market to iron eggs, dried tofu, braised dishes and gift boxes, we have step by step turned a familiar Taiwanese taste into food that keeps well and is easy to share.
As the brand grew we built a fuller production process, quality management system and product development capability — so traditional braised food is no longer confined to the night market, but reaches shops, family tables and daily life in other countries.
What we want to carry abroad is more than a product. It is the Taiwanese care for food, the patience to wait for it, and the wish to share a good meal with family and friends.
OUR MILESTONES
Every step along the way counts
From one pot to everyday tables everywhere
Our growth did not happen overnight.
From the night-market stall to product development, to building a food production process and founding the Taiwan Braised Food Museum — every stage came from trying, learning and building up, one step at a time.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
Care, learning, sharing, persistence
Making good food, and looking after the people who make it
Delicious Chinese Food grew up in southern Taiwan with the support of many people, and we have always believed that a company should grow together with the land and the people around it.
We offer opportunities to women returning to work, mid-career and older workers, and people with disabilities, and we welcome students from special education programmes as interns — so people at every stage of life can contribute where they fit best.
We keep learning new food knowledge and management practices, and we are glad to pass on what we have learned.
Because what a brand really leaves behind is not how many products it sold, but whether the people around it live better because of the work.
Making one pot of braised food well is our craft;
helping more people grow with us is the responsibility we carry.
THE TASTE WE CARRY
Time is the most important ingredient
Slow braising, letting a familiar flavour soak in
Braised food looks simple, but the real flavour hides in the details.
The choice of ingredients, the balance of spices, the strength of the broth and the timing all shape the taste in the end.
Starting from a single iron egg, we have kept studying different ingredients and braising methods — keeping the home-style Taiwanese taste while making our products fit what modern households need in storage, portion size and preparation.
We hope that every time a pack is opened and every time a dish reaches the table, it brings back the aroma of that slowly simmering pot.
FROM OUR TABLE TO YOURS
From one iron egg to your family table
Flavour can travel far — the feeling of home stays the same
From iron eggs, dried tofu and classic braised dishes to gift boxes and family meals, we keep thinking about how different generations live today.
Some want to prepare a familiar taste for their children, some want a simple home-style meal with their parents, and some want to send a taste of Taiwan to someone far away.
So we do not only make good food — we also make portions, storage, reheating, ingredients and serving information clearer, so everyone can choose more easily for themselves and their family.
What we prepare is more than food;
it is the time that makes it easier for a family to sit down and eat together.
A TASTE OF HOME
Bringing a familiar Taiwanese taste back to today's table
All along, we have never forgotten that first pot at Shiquan Night Market.
And we will keep turning that same care into everyday flavours that more families can share with ease.
